Made in walnut and maple, the chosen woods and sizes for tournament and professional games worldwide because of their hardness and contrast.
This bookcase is very much the same as the Broad Reader S4. The few differences are the overall dimensions, the rounded shape walnut handle and it has an extra shelf and divider. For more details click here.

Another example of the Revolving Bookcase Felicity-Go-Round, but this time with contrasting slats, handmade with sapele.
As standard in all my work, the dovetails are always hand-cut, with no aid of electrical equipment like router/router jigs, bandsaw, circular saw, etc.
My dovetails will always be cut by hand, with a dovetail saw, coping saw and chisels. Old school. You can follow my YouTube channel to watch the different stages of making each piece.

This hand-sculpted key bowl was made using bog oak from the wet Fens in Cambridgeshire after being dragged out from its thousands of years old home. It was then cut into planks and air dried for 15 years.
Very solid and compact body, not as heavy as I thought but I had lots of fun carving and making dust from such an old piece of almost mineral structure. The natural cracks where filled with resin and covered with molten metal.
As always, there was a lot of care and attention in the finishing process, making the metal contrast with the dark ancient oak. The natural oils make it impressibly smooth to the touch and the smell of vegan wax releases a fantastic fragrance, mixing with the natural oak aroma. How romantic…
