This is a height chart made with American walnut and the “Wacky Woodies” made in various types of wood: ash, beech, yew, cherry, walnut, oak, iroko, sapele, elm, spalted beech, bog oak, maple, sycamore, teak, olive ash, lacewood (London plane), good old pine, and so on.

As the Wacky Woodies are made entirely from my workshop off-cuts and other precious woods (at least for me) that I found along the way, I gave myself the liberty of using all sorts, including (hu)man-made boards like chipboard, plywood, marine plywood, MDF and moisture proof MDF, creating some fantastic looking contrasts and textures. You can have the height chart made in different woods, just ask and I’m positive I’ll make it happen. If you rather have the height markings in inches rather than centimetres, that’s not a problem! Let me know before I start making it, as these are inlayed into the wood.
