They can be made in different woods, thicknesses and they vary in weight and feel in your hands, depending what you like.

I use spalted beech, oak, maple, iroko, sycamore, cherry, ash.

The tips are wooden, not plastic, as I find they give a nicer sound. Touchy subject.

These drumsticks are handmade on my wood lathe with woodturning gauges. Sanded by hand and appropriately finished. They are not machined to perfectly accurate specifications like you would find from mega mass produced overpriced world-known brands.
