I was asked to create wooden bulrushes, a small arty crafty undertaking by a client that has a very posh-looking silver vase.
She wondered if I could make some bulrushes to show it off next to her fireplace.
The flower heads are made in English walnut from the very same timber I used a few years ago to make a sideboard for her.
The leaves were made in oak, cut into strips and steam bent (although it was more like stove bent). Not as catchy…
